**Job Title: Wire Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Wire Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves working with wires up to 15-16 feet, including tasks such as stripping, pulling, and coiling wires, attaching connectors and insulators, and fastening clamps using machines. The successful candidate will ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Strip, pull, and coil wires up to 15-16 feet in length.
+ Attach connectors and insulators to wires.
+ Operate machines to fasten clamps on wire ends and kit wires.
+ Maintain work order tickets with raw components until assembly is complete.
+ Dispose of tickets after assembly is placed in QA.
+ Return extra parts to designated carts and clean up after completing work orders.
+ Double-check orders for quantity and quality before submitting to QA.
+ Print labels and navigate customer apps menu, with training provided by QA.
+ Report any damaged or malfunctioning tooling immediately.
+ Perform end-of-day clean-up duties.
+ Follow updated work instructions and Excel control plan simultaneously.
+ Ask questions to clarify processes if needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
+ Ability to read a tape measure.
+ Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day.
+ Basic computer literacy, including navigating tablets and reading emails.
+ Pass a mechanical test during the interview process.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry-level production experience.
+ General labor and light assembly skills.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse with a laid-back atmosphere. Dress code includes jeans or shorts without holes and a provided t-shirt. After 30 days, you'll receive company shirts, and Fridays are casual. The company specializes in distributing electronic components, including custom, mechanical, and electrical commodities.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00/hr.
