Position Summary

The Project Manager will support the IT PMO by leading the delivery of initiatives across the enterprise ERP ecosystem, with an initial focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role will oversee projects related to system stabilization, maintenance, continuous improvement, upgrades, and new implementations. The Project Manager will ensure initiatives are executed in alignment with PMO standards and governance frameworks, coordinating closely with solution architects, vendors, and business stakeholders. Over time, this role will evolve to support broader ERP program needs, enabling scalable business operations, continuous optimization, and technology modernization through structured project management practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery: Manage the execution of D365 ERP initiatives in alignment with PMO methodologies, ensuring delivery against defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Requirements Validation & Scope Management: Collaborate with business process owners and technical teams to define, refine, and validate project requirements, translating them into actionable project deliverables and work plans

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, solution architects, and vendors, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment of project activities with business and ERP priorities.

Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies, escalating to leadership and PMO governance structures as appropriate.

Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure successful delivery of contracted services and solutions in support of D365 ERP initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: Be a partner in ERP system and process optimization efforts by identifying improvement opportunities and applying lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.

Project Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project artifacts (e.g., charters, plans, status reports, risk logs) in alignment with project management standards and provide timely reporting to IT leadership and ERP governance bodies.

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Background

Bachelor’s degree in IT, business administration, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 years project management experience, including direct responsibility for ERP-related initiatives (at least 2+ years with D365 Finance & Operations, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent modules).

Specific experience rolling-out ERP implementation projects is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Talents

Strong understanding of D365 ERP system architecture, capabilities, and common deployment models.

Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including technical, functional, and business stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and drive accountability to contract/SOW deliverables.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and operate independently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for stakeholder reporting and escalation management.

Experience with common project management methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and project tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet).

Experience implementing ERP systems of varying size and complexity, including large-scale platforms such as D365, SAP, or Oracle.

Up to 20% travel required.

Pay and Benefits

The estimated base pay range for this position is: $120,000 - $180,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive program.
