**Job Title: Quality Inspector**

**Job Description**

Inspect Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) at various stages of production, identifying acceptable and nonconforming materials based on customer and national specifications. Analyze and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and internal documents to ensure compliance.

**Responsibilities**

+ Inspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specifications.

+ Identify and segregate items with rejection status from those that meet standards.

+ Record inspection data in electronic systems.

+ Measure product dimensions using instruments like rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

+ Ensure adherence to ESD procedures.

+ Use Visual Optical Inspection Aids such as Microscopes and Ring lights.

+ Comprehend customer prints, Bill of Materials, specifications, and work instructions.

+ Verify all components for placement, polarity, lead prep, part marking, and damage.

+ Inspect solder terminations for alloy, wetting, and volume.

+ Record inspection results and define any nonconforming issues.

+ Notify supervisors of nonconforming issues and assist in identifying and correcting them.

+ Discuss inspection results and recommend corrective actions for improvement.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience with PCB, electronics, microelectronics, and quality control.

+ Ability to read blueprints and use microscopes.

+ Experience in electronics assembly and quality inspection.

+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

+ 2-3 years of experience as a QA PCBA inspector.

+ Ability to perform manual and visual inspection of boards.

+ Comfortable working with microscopes for extended periods.

+ Basic math skills and color recognition.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Current IPC-A-610 and J-standard certifications preferred (expired or current accepted).

+ Ability to perform rework and mechanical assembly of small electrical components.

+ Knowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components.

+ Ability to use epoxy, RTV, or other adhesives (non-toxic but may be odorous).

**Work Environment**

Work in a clean room environment where you will wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and a hair net. Must adhere to strict dress code, avoiding makeup, fake nails, or nail polish. Close-toed shoes and pants are required. Be prepared for overtime, including weekends. Day shift positions available, with shifts from 6AM - 2:30PM, 2PM - 11PM, and 10:30AM - 6:30AM.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.40/hr.
