Director - Clinical Applications - Epic

This is a remote role with quarterly travel (costs covered by client)

Description

+ Responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the functions and activities of clinical application services and teams. Areas of responsibility include all clinical applications such as inpatient, ancillary, lab, ambulatory, and training.

+ Will be expected to create a highly engaged and performing workforce. Will balance our culture that includes fun with a focus on accountability and high expectations.

+ This role provides leadership for strategic planning and projects, establishing standards of excellence, developing & implementing operational models, supervising personnel, and partnering with other departments to achieve the mission.

+ Areas of responsibility include ensuring application service delivery and upgrades, planning for and maintaining appropriate client support, integration planning with other applications, establishing and maintaining appropriate vendor relationships, and interfacing with client clinical and administrative leadership.

+ Fiscal accountability for assigned cost centers to include budgets for staffing, maintenance contracts, and other purchased services.

+ Responsible for prioritizing and adjusting initiatives in response to organizational, regulatory, or market-driven changes.

+ Responsible for the assessment, optimization, and processes to optimize resources and operational efficiencies across the clinical application teams.

+ Partners with our Customer liaison leaders to ensure resources are aligned to ensure timelines and budgets are met.

Education Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree Required

+ Master's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

+ At least ten (10) years working with and supporting clinical applications, preference for those with Epic experience.

+ At least five (5) years as a manager/director in Information Systems

Skills and Abilities

+ Detailed knowledge of Clinical Applications and some clinical operations experience.

+ Understand and comply with all enterprise and departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.

+ Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store client and its customers information.

+ Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information

+ Capacity to manage multiple competing objectives and to clearly communicate results

+ Ability to lead, develop, and support others to create a positive working environment

+ Interpersonal skills to function well in administrative, management, and patient care environments

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
