At Maxar, you’ll work with the U.S. Space Force as part of the effort to define and manage an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise, specifically focused on Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, and Space Intelligence (BMC3I). Your customer will trust you to not only architect, engineer, integrate, test and deploy these systems, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. Within this role, you will lead a Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team focused on Space programs, including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, testing, verification, and transition. You Have:
Must be a US citizen and have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science.
10+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD space systems.
Experience using a Model-Based Systems Engineering and/or Digital Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or SysML.
Experience performing systems engineering for satellite systems and/or ground systems.
Experience in requirements development and/or verification.
Experience in/Familiarity with Risk processes and Risk Management.
Background in DoD Testing.
Experience in Confluence and/or JIRA.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to interact well in cross-functional team meetings and professional environments.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks.
Nice If You Have:
TS/SCI clearance.
Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline.
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP).
Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02.
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies.
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Eligible
Work Location: El Segundo area (commutable distance to HQ SSC and/or Booz Allen’s El Segundo office). Hybrid work permitted - mix of on-site & off-site

In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area is:
$137,000.00 - $229,000.00
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
