Senior Recruiter - R&D
Your Impact
As a Senior Recruiter at Axon, you will serve as a strategic talent advisor to our R&D organization, leading full-cycle recruitment efforts for technical roles critical to our mission of protecting life. This role is pivotal in building high-impact teams by designing and executing proactive recruiting strategies, using data to drive decisions, and delivering an exceptional experience to both candidates and hiring leaders.
You'll serve as a trusted partner to R&D leaders, translating ambitious hiring plans into successful outcomes. You bring a track record of recruiting top-tier technical talent in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and you thrive in navigating ambiguity, influencing change, and raising the bar for recruiting excellence.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a strategic recruiting partner to senior R&D leaders across North America, building deep, embedded relationships and trust.
Own and drive full-cycle recruitment for high-priority roles across software, hardware, AI/ML, and other technical domains.
Analyze and report on hiring metrics, providing insights and real-time consultation to influence hiring strategy and process improvements.
Develop data-driven sourcing and recruitment strategies to deliver top talent aligned with business goals and project timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including People Ops, Compensation, and HR Business Partners to create scalable and inclusive hiring processes.
Act as a subject matter expert on market trends, talent availability, and competitive intelligence to advise and guide hiring decisions.
Champion the candidate experience by maintaining high-touch engagement, transparency, and timely communication throughout the recruiting process.
Mentor and support Recruiter IIs and peers by sharing best practices, tools, and resources to elevate the overall function of the TA team.
What You Bring
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2+ years focused on technical or R&D roles; a mix of in-house and agency experience preferred.
Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders and influencing at multiple levels across a mid-to-large scale organization.
Experience developing and reporting on hiring KPIs and metrics to stakeholders; comfortable using data to shape decisions and conversations.
Strong sourcing expertise and familiarity with platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Greenhouse, and other sourcing tools.
Proven ability to prioritize and execute on multiple requisitions in a high-growth, agile environment with minimal oversight.
Decisive, results-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity while driving clarity and progress.
Strong business acumen, interpersonal savvy, and the ability to challenge and influence when needed.
A passion for delivering excellent candidate and stakeholder experiences and a drive to continuously improve processes.
