ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Frontend Engineering Intern, you’ll help architect and build the core user interface for our platform. From swiping through properties to chatting with potential flatmates, your work will directly shape how users engage with our product.

You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers and designers to bring our vision to life — balancing design fidelity with engineering excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

UI Development: Translate Figma wireframes into clean, responsive, and interactive UIs.

Frontend Architecture: Own the structure, scalability, and performance of the React.js-based frontend.

User Experience Optimization: Implement lazy loading, CDN optimizations, and smooth transitions for media-heavy pages.

AI Integration: Embed a RAG-based chatbot into the UI with an intuitive chat interface.

Collaborative Development: Work cross-functionally to integrate REST APIs and ensure seamless backend connectivity.

️ WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

Core Features:

A swipe-based property feed inspired by dating platforms, helping users quickly browse listings through an engaging, mobile-first UI.

A voice-enabled user journey (IVR-style onboarding) to allow for hands-free, conversational interactions.

Chat interface for users to interact with potential flatmates and landlords.

Interactive features like liking, saving, and scheduling property visits.

Quality Focus:

Write modular, maintainable code with adequate test coverage.

Debug and solve UI issues across browsers and devices.

Continuously optimize load times and frontend performance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Core Tech:

Strong grasp of React.js and component-driven development.

Experience with CSS, responsive design, and frameworks like Next.js and TailwindCSS.

Comfort working with REST APIs and handling async data flows.

Design Sensibility:

Ability to convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect interfaces.

Understanding of accessibility and UI/UX best practices.

Nice to Have:

Past experience at early-stage startups or indie side projects.

Interest in AI, real estate, or social interfaces.
