Automation Mechanic

Position: Automation Mechanic

Location: Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

Salary: $37-42/hr

Shift: A typically working week is 50 hours (1.5x for OT)

Must be on call on Saturdays

Start times:

6am

3pm

Must-Haves:

5+ years of Good-to-person Automation experience

Conveyor/Warehouse background

Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals

Mechanical experience with gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment

Electrical troubleshooting skills to include PLCs, optimal devices, wiring, ac power, ac motors, electrical drawings, and control panels

OSHA Training

Plusses:

Experience with MS Office

Insight Global has a client that is searching for an Automation Mechanic to sit in Upper Marlboro, MD. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of a goods-to-person automation system in an electrical distribution warehouse. This facility went live 6 weeks ago and it is crucial that this employee is proactive and flexible in their availability to work. This individual will also be responsible for training warehouse associates on how to use this new system, how to make minor repairs, and how to know when assistance is required.
