Senior Manager, Testing and Deployment - Lending Systems - Hybrid position

Must go in to the office 3x a week in McLean, Virginia

Join a dynamic team where you'll lead testing and deployment initiatives for our client's automated lending system and consumer credit risk projects. This influential role offers the opportunity to shape testing strategies, lead diverse teams, and drive innovation in quality assurance.

Position Overview

As the Senior Manager of Testing and Deployment, you'll supervise both offshore and onshore staff while developing and maintaining automation frameworks critical to our client's success in the financial services sector. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of systems that millions of consumers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive testing staffing models, balancing onshore and offshore resources to optimize performance and efficiency

Collaborate with Consumer Credit Policy product owners to create strategic test scenarios for various policies and features

Engineer sophisticated test suites across multiple platforms including web UI, Agent applications, RESTful APIs, and web services

Design and implement software quality assurance (SQA) test plans that ensure rigorous validation of critical financial systems

Establish and enhance QA automation and performance testing infrastructure for complex end-to-end and integration testing

Transform complex algorithms into comprehensive testing protocols that ensure thorough validation

Provide technical leadership in identifying, reporting, and resolving operational challenges in credit systems

Deliver insightful analysis of testing results and progress to senior leadership

Monitor and evaluate quality assurance metrics to drive continuous improvement

Communicate test results and system defects to stakeholders with clarity and precision

Mentor team members on testing best practices and foster a culture of knowledge sharing

Create detailed documentation including how-to guides and process artifacts

Build and nurture partnerships across the Consumer Banking organization

Support stakeholders in testing complex credit policy rules

Identify and implement process automation opportunities to enhance team effectiveness

Collaborate with developers on test development initiatives

Stay at the forefront of testing tools and strategies to ensure continuous innovation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics (Master's Degree preferred)

Minimum of seven years' experience with server-side web technologies such as Java, C#, Python, or similar languages

Experience with modern testing tools including Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, and other open-source solutions

Proven expertise building or working with RESTful web services via JSON or XML

Knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) is a plus

Strong understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies

Demonstrated leadership abilities with a self-starting attitude and confidence in driving architectural decisions

Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
