Location: Germantown, MD

Full-time Permanent Competitive Salary + Bonus

We are thrilled to be partnering exclusively with a cutting-edge satellite communications leader to recruit a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of next-generation LEO/MEO/GEO satellite systems — and be part of an elite engineering team driving innovation in global connectivity.

About the Role

As a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer, you’ll work across the full system development lifecycle — from conceptual design through integration, testing, and performance monitoring — for advanced satellite communications networks.

You’ll join a collaborative, highly experienced team, bringing deep technical knowledge and creativity to evolving space-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Refine and generate system-level requirements from internal and external sources.

Analyze, model, and simulate advanced satellite communication system designs.

Develop system-level algorithms (e.g., power control, frequency/timing sync).

Conduct link budgets, trade studies, and performance simulations.

Design and evaluate RF/baseband subsystems and develop detailed technical specifications.

Perform antenna subsystem calibration and modeling for mobile/fixed terminals.

Conduct constellation analyses and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Create and deliver high-quality documentation and presentations for internal and customer review.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), with emphasis in RF/microwave or signal analysis.

15+ years of experience in satellite/communication systems, including link budgets, signal propagation, and RF performance analysis.

5+ years of hands-on modeling and performance evaluation for LEO/MEO/GEO systems (LEO strongly preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with relevant specialization.

Deep familiarity with 5G NR-NTN standards and satellite system architectures.

Proficiency in simulation tools and programming languages for systems modeling.

Strong grasp of industry standards (DVB-S2X, ITU-R, FCC regulations).

Experience with GRASP or antenna modeling tools.

Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.

Why Apply?

This is your chance to be part of a highly innovative, mission-driven organization developing tomorrow’s space communication systems today. You’ll enjoy working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment with opportunities for long-term growth and impact.
