Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to support our Software and Technical Support training initiatives. This role is key to improving performance and enhancing the skills of our support team through the design, delivery, and evaluation of impactful learning programs.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging instructor-led and virtual training programs for new hires and existing support team members
Collaborate with internal teams, SMEs, and support leadership to identify learning needs and develop targeted training solutions
Create and maintain instructional materials, including facilitator and participant guides, eLearning courses, performance support tools, and assessments
Support the end-to-end instructional design process, including needs analysis, content development, delivery, and measurement
Facilitate training sessions, ensuring content is delivered effectively and adapted to varying learner needs
Develop content with a focus on technical troubleshooting, system navigation, and customer support workflows
Use training evaluation methods to assess learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement
Contribute to the ongoing learning strategy for the department and identify innovative solutions to improve performance
Required Qualifications
2-5+ years of instructional design experience
Experience designing training for software or technical support environments
Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field
Preferred Skills
Experience with eLearning development tools (Articulate Storyline & Rise)
Familiarity with LMS and virtual classroom platforms (ex., Webex, Adobe Connect)
Experience with audio/video editing
Comfortable developing different levels of eLearning courses.
