Data Analytics Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager (Data Analytics)

Duration: 12+ Months contract with extension

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager with a strong background in Business Analytics and Data Analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional projects, working closely with both technical and business stakeholders, and leveraging data to drive strategic decisions. Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Excel, SQL, and other analytics platforms is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

lead and manage end-to-end data and business analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers, and other technical teams.

Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, translating them into actionable project plans and deliverables.

Oversee data analytics initiatives, including dashboard/report development, data extraction, and data quality assurance.

Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates, risk management, and issue resolution.

Develop, track, and report on project KPIs and metrics to measure performance and outcomes.

Support decision-making processes by delivering insights through data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel reporting.

Ensure data governance, security, and privacy standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies using data-driven analysis.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

7+ years of project management experience, preferably within business analytics or data-driven environments.

Proven experience working with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Excel (advanced), SQL, and other visualization/reporting tools.

Strong experience managing diverse stakeholders across business and technical teams.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
