Position Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk plays a key role in supporting our operations by ensuring vendor invoices and customer account data are accurately entered, maintained, and verified across multiple systems. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and ensuring smooth billing and auditing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Invoice Management:

Enter vendor invoices into our billing and accounting systems.

Audit vendor bills using our auditing platform to identify billing discrepancies or overcharges.

Track and flag billing issues for resolution by the management team.

Customer Account Updates:

Maintain and update customer information in the CRM, including service changes, contract updates, and contact details.

Support the billing cycle by ensuring accuracy in customer invoicing data.

Customer Support:

Respond to customer inquiries related to invoicing or account status.

Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team member for resolution.

Data Accuracy & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and organized digital records for invoices and customer accounts.

Cross-check data between platforms (QuickBooks, CRM) for consistency.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.

Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus, ability to adapt to new systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Proficiency with Excel and general computer literacy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Base Compensation

Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Working Conditions:

Work type: Full-time, 40 hours of work, Monday through Friday

Work Locations: On-site collaboration is key, priority will be given to candidates able to work daily from Waste Metrics office in San Diego.
