We are partnering with a leading organisation in the aerospace sector, currently seeking a skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers the chance to contribute to the implementation of the core?Avionics?elements for new gen space vehicles. As a key member of our Avionics Team, you'll work directly with the Director of Engineering, Avionics, and be responsible for:
Leading the design, analysis, and integration of flight hardware, ensuring a seamless transition from components to final testing.
Overseeing the development of digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit designs, as well as rugged electronic assemblies, throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Conducting environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum) to validate your designs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with satellite or spacecraft flight computer hardware design, build, and testing.
Expertise in mixed-signal and digital circuit simulations.
Skilled in PCB design using Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools.
Deep understanding of the environmental challenges (thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, radiation) faced during space missions.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
A solid track record of delivering high-visibility projects based on thorough engineering methodologies.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in the design of high-reliability or safety-critical systems, ideally for aerospace or automotive applications.
Knowledge of the unique requirements for long-duration space missions.
Previous experience working in dynamic startup environments or small teams.
