This is a high-impact, hands-on role with building experience focused on safeguarding enterprise environments through proactive detection, swift incident response, and deep technical expertise in Microsoft’s security stack. monitoring and securing Azure environments. The ideal candidate has a hybrid background in networking, systems engineering, and cybersecurity — capable of owning endpoint protection, fine-tuning firewall policies, and leading response efforts across both cloud and on-prem infrastructure. We're looking for someone who has worked in complex, high-stakes environments where speed, precision, and deep tool knowledge make all the difference who has a Microsoft, Unix or Linux engineering background.

About the Role

This role focuses on safeguarding enterprise environments through proactive detection and swift incident response.

Responsibilities

MUST BE A HANDS ON ENGINEER-with build experience

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and firewall rule set configuration

How Routers and switches work

Experience migrating from Carbon Black to Microsoft Defender (EDR expertise required)

Endpoint detection and results

Proficiency in Microsoft Purview for data security and compliance

Familiar with Red Canary and EnCase for endpoint detection and digital forensics

Unix/Linux engineering background (past or current)

Deep experience in Azure Security

Ability to lead response and remediation at both workstation and network levels

Splunk experience is a plus
