We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer with expertise in FPGA/CPU-based board design, bring-up, and validation for an onsite contract role in Santa Clara, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Test and debug FPGA and CPU-based boards/systems
Review system specifications (electrical, power, thermal, mechanical)
Collaborate with board design teams (schematic/layout review in OrCAD/Allegro)
Support firmware/tools development with software teams
Research and select electronic components (datasheet analysis, vendor coordination)
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in hardware design & bring-up
Board debugging (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering)
High-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet) or low-speed (UART, SPI, I2C)
Power system design
Schematic/layout tools (OrCAD, Allegro) + SI/thermal considerations
Test plan creation & execution
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Open Compute Project (OCP) standards
x86 architecture, Linux kernel/drivers
Programming: C/C++, Python, Verilog, TCL
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
