We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage and coordinate small-scale IT operational projects. This role involves project planning, resource coordination, risk management, and status reporting. You will work across multiple cross-functional IT teams and lead projects from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery and documentation. Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage IT operational projects from initiation to closure, including defining scope, schedule, resource needs, and budget adherence.

Develop and maintain critical project documentation including project plans, communication strategies, CAB documentation, contingency, training, and support transition plans.

Manage project milestones, identify dependencies, monitor critical paths, and develop mitigation plans for risks and issues.

Effectively communicate project status, updates, and expectations to stakeholders, sponsors, and IT team members.

Facilitate resource allocation by coordinating with team leads and management to ensure appropriate participation.

Build and maintain strong relationships across IT departments to foster collaboration and resolve roadblocks.

Oversee compliance with internal governance processes and documentation standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Conduct regular project status meetings and maintain up-to-date reports on progress, risks, and issues.

Track project tasks and milestones using Microsoft Project and other relevant tools.

Utilize productivity tools such as MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.

Collaborate with technical writers and subject matter experts to develop and compile business documentation.

Support Change Approval Board (CAB) documentation and processes.

Provide detailed communication plans to stakeholders and facilitate user training as needed.

Ensure smooth project transitions and handoffs upon completion.

Preferred Experience and Attributes:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.

Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.

Experience in Electric Utility environments or municipal organizations.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Comfortable working in regulated industries with formal documentation requirements.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
