Think is seeking an Interim Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing that will oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production and strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
Create and implement detailed material requirement forecasts, incorporating input from sales, inventory, and procurement teams.
Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement departments to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and other critical supplies.
Identify material planning risks and propose proactive solutions to mitigate delays and overstocking.
Monitor production schedules and adjust forecasts and material plans to align with changes in demand or operational constraints.
Drive improvements in operational efficiency, throughput, and overall plant performance.
Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements specific to the vitamin and supplement industry.
Oversee training and performance of plant personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on production progress, inventory status, and material needs.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an Interim capacity as a Plant Manager or senior operations leader in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in material planning, forecasting, and supply chain coordination.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Deep understanding of manufacturing best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Skills
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
Ability to quickly assess and improve existing systems and processes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transitional, or turnaround environment.
