Hardware Validation Engineer - San Jose, CA

Job Description:

Cisco Silicon One ASICs are transforming the Future of the Internet and the unified, power-efficient architecture is quickly gaining traction in the market. The Silicon One team is seeking experienced Hardware Validation Engineer to join their team in San Jose, CA! As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will be working in the testing lab specifically testing and validating various ASIC boards, overseeing design for test (DFT) and system-level testing (SLT). On a day to day basis you will work with the test engineering team, overseeing tests on ASIC chip, failure analysis, and debugging. You will test for a variety of issues including but not limited to damaged components, contamination, fitting issues, timing, socket issues, heat exc. You will use a variety of lab tools to perform the troubleshooting and debug.

Job Responsibilities:

ASIC Hardware Validation, test, and debugging

Performing design for test and system-level testing (SLT)

Performing Failure analysis

Job Qualifications:

5+ years of hardware test, validation, and debug experience

5+ years of experience working on ASIC, SoC, or similar boards

Experience with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, Digital Multimeters (DMM), Digital Voltmeters (DVM), etc.

Hands-on expertise in analyzing component failures at a system level.

Experience with Allegro viewer

Experience with thermal imaging

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering
