Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be qualified, motivated and detail-oriented, and will possess the ability to provide accurate and timely job estimates and present in a clear, concise manner. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities:
Have relevant electrical qualifications
Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, into unit and man-hour figures
Develop project specific estimates based on project plans and schedules
Provides quantity take-offs and Electrical construction cost estimates
Develops and/or compiles material take-offs (MTOs)
Evaluates and/or develops labor rates and subcontract costs
Enters the information into a spreadsheet or database for inclusion in an estimate
Know the price and availability of materials.
Research wage / equipment rates, production rates, construction materials, means, and methods.
Close coordination with Project Management.
Preparation of bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.
Be familiar with new construction techniques and methods.
Reviews our work product and provides cost and schedule control
Additional duties as determined by Superiors
Qualifications:
3+ Years Electrical Estimating Experience
Proficient with basic computer tasks
Proficient with construction specific programs (MS Office, CAD, PDF)
Knowledge of McCormick Systems preferred
Experience with industry standard estimating software
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Detail-oriented
