Senior Salesforce Developer
Optomi, in partnership with leading firm in the financial services industry is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support a multi-entity Salesforce transformation initiative. This role will play a critical part in developing and modernizing a highly customized Salesforce environment. The organization is in a high-growth phase and looking to streamline and scale its Salesforce platform across five integrated business units. This role requires a hands-on developer comfortable with both administrative and advanced development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop scalable and reusable code using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and custom configurations
Perform data migrations using tools such as Data Loader or third-party apps
Collaborate with the Salesforce Solution Architect and cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic solutions
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming
Contribute to the development and management of DevOps pipelines (version control, CI/CD, automated testing)
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance platform performance and security
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and admins
Maintain documentation such as design specifications, user stories, and deployment guides
Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments
Strong skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce Flows
Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
Working knowledge of Salesforce security models, data architecture, and governor limits
Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD tools
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred:
Experience with Financial Services Cloud (FSC)
Background in financial services or wealth management
Salesforce Platform Developer II or other advanced Salesforce certifications
Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems
Understanding of Salesforce DevOps best practices
Additional Information
This position is hybrid with four days onsite required in the Austin, TX office
The team is small but expanding, with current efforts focused on transitioning from a heavily customized Salesforce instance to a scalable, strategically aligned platform
