Position Overview: Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, focusing on the meticulous review and analysis of financial transactions seeking to mitigate risks associated to financial crimes and suspicious activity. This role involves assessing complex data sets to detect unusual patterns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the safeguarding of financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of financial transactions to identify and assess potential suspicious activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Suspicious Activity Reporting: Document findings in detailed reports, including narratives and summaries, to support the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when necessary.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about current regulations and guidelines related to anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crimes, ensuring all activities adhere to legal requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve potential compliance issues, contributing to the development of effective strategies to mitigate financial crime risks.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in AML practices and related areas.
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, law, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, compliance, or a related area is desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software applications.
Certifications: Professional certifications in AML or related fields are advantageous.
