Job Description:
The qualified individual reports to the Columbus Site Manager and will enter into a formal training program to learn all facets of the aggregates business, while developing skills associated with safety, quality, production, and leadership. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Qualifications
Familiarity and general knowledge of the mining industry
Quick learner with the ability to effectively communicate in a team environment.
Proficient computer skills (MS office)
Willingness to work a flexible schedule with long hours and weekends
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds in Mining Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering field preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
Actively support a Safety-First environment for all team members
Become proficient in quality control measures and testing to maintain the organization’s unmatched customer service and product quality
Learn to operate and maintain plant equipment at allocations including, but not limited to, crushers, screens, conveyors, customer loadout and scales, and heavy equipment
Assist in developing current and future mine plans
Provide leadership, support, and direction for team members as required
Manage and support daily production requirements, assist in team member recruiting, and provide appropriate team member coaching, mentoring, correction and discipline as necessary
Provide exemplary customer service through communication and direct interaction, and periodic scale operation
Manage the coordination, scheduling, planning, budgeting and implementation of capital expenditure projects
Assist with the procurement of plant equipment, materials, supplies, and repair parts
Manage inventory through daily production and various quantifiable measuring processes
