Position Overview
Work approximately 8 hours per day on-site.
Evaluate 5-10 hospital consult patients daily with varying endoscopy needs.
Night call with 5-10 call-backs per month, no admissions.
Patient focus: Adult only. Work Schedule
Coverage needed for 2 weeks per month in a one-week-on, one-week-off pattern. Patient Encounters
Expected 5-10 patients per shift. Requirements
Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.

Upper GI Endoscopy:
Biopsy
Foreign body removal
Fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser)
Injection of varices
Lower GI Endoscopy:
Colonoscopy
Biopsy
Excision of polyp Preferred Skills
Upper GI Endoscopy:
ERCP (Diagnostic and Therapeutic)
PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
Esophageal Procedures:
Esophageal dilatation/manometry
Manometry interpretation
Small Bowel Biopsy
Sigmoidoscopy:
Flexible and Rigid
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Liver Biopsy
Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube Additional Information
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45 days.

Facility does not require physicians to be certified in ABLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, or other certifications outside those specified.
Permanent
