Position Overview

Oregon State Hospital is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join our team in Junction City, OR. This is a premium locum or locum-to-perm opportunity focused on providing care to patients with serious mental illness in a forensic setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced, compassionate, and committed to evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychological assessment and treatment to patients with serious mental illness in a forensic environment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement care plans

Utilize current assessment tools and treatment modalities

Maintain accurate documentation using the Avatar EMR system

Demonstrate cultural competency and a commitment to continuing education Qualifications

Licensure: Must hold an active Oregon Psychology license (no exceptions)

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar setting

Board Status: No history of board complaints Preferred Candidate Attributes

Experience in forensic psychology and evidence-based practices

Strong background in psychological assessments (work samples may be requested)

Commitment to cultural competence and professional development Patient Load & Team Structure

Patient Volume: 10-15 patients per day

Support Staff: 1 physician/support staff in department Interview & Onboarding

Interview Format: Panel video interview (onsite possible)
