Drafter

We're seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to support a busy manufacturing operation in Houma, Louisiana. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills and technical drafting experience to contribute directly to production accuracy and efficiency.

In this role, you'll collaborate with engineers and designers to create clear, complete shop drawings based on technical sketches, notes, and specifications. Your work will be critical to helping the shop floor build with precision.

We're looking for candidates who are technically savvy, comfortable with measurement and layout calculations, and able to follow both simple and complex instructions. Experience with drafting in structural, construction, or manufacturing environments is a strong plus.

Create dimensional layouts and shop drawings from sketches, engineering notes, and specifications

Add dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and material specifications to technical drawings

Revise layouts and drawings based on change requests

Collaborate with engineers and designers to clarify drawing details

Reference steel charts, graphs, and vendor catalogs for weights and specifications
