Job Details

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing company. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, monthly close, and preparation of accurate financial and management reports. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive mindset to support sustainability efforts and product innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Core Financial Functions

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.

Prepare timely and accurate internal financial statements and management reports.

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and staff.

Manage account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and internal controls.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers to support audits and filings.

Strategic & Operational Support

Partner with operations, R&D, and product teams to align financial goals with business strategies.

Provide cost analysis and financial input to support pricing decisions and margin improvement.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Assist in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.

Sustainability & Innovation

Collaborate with product and sustainability teams to evaluate the financial impact of green initiatives and materials.

Support tracking and reporting of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics.

Help assess financial viability and ROI of new product concepts and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

CPA required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA is a plus.

Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise) and Excel.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work cross-functionally.

Experience with sustainability initiatives and cost modeling is highly desirable.
