Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 per year

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team - we are a Real Estate and Property Manager. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Rent Collections, Fixed Assets, Annual Budget, Financial Statements, Cash Flow, and General Ledger. You will lead a team of five accountants and report directly to the C-level leaders. This role requires 5+ years of experience and a strong understanding of financial principles.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Rent Collections, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.

2. Developing and managing the annual budget in collaboration with C-level leaders and other department heads.

3. Preparing timely and accurate financial statements and reports to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

4. Managing the company's cash flow and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

5. Leading a team of five accountants, providing them with guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.

6. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

7. Developing and implementing effective financial strategies, controls, and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the organization.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role, with a proven track record of success.

3. Extensive experience with all aspects of accounting including Accounts Receivable, Rent Collections, Fixed Assets, Annual Budget, Financial Statements, Cash Flow, and General Ledger.

4. Proven leadership skills with experience leading a team of accountants.

5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

6. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.

7. Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.

8. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and finance.
