Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst

Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly or weekly schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Verify employee hours, deductions, and pay rates, making adjustments as necessary

Prepare and process payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes

Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and other payroll-related forms

Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date

Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner

Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure alignment on employee records, benefits, and deductions

Support audits and internal controls, ensuring compliance with payroll policies and regulations

What We're Looking For in a Payroll Analyst

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience: 2+ years of payroll processing experience

Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar); strong Excel skills

Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll taxes, labor laws, and payroll compliance regulations

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy

Location & Compensation

Work Setting: On-site in Canton, Ohio Monday-Friday

Salary: Up to $70,000 based on experience
