Job Details

Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

Project Accounting: Oversee the construction project accounting process from initiation to completion, including preparation and analysis of month-end reporting (WIP reports, over/under, gross margin, revenue recognition, and projections).

Audit Coordination: Partner with external auditors to support annual audit procedures, ensuring timely communication and accurate documentation.

Transaction Management: Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, general ledger, contracts management, and purchasing functions to optimize financial operations.

Performance Analysis: Maintain KPI dashboards and lead monthly analytical processes to assess operational and financial performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Team Development: Supervise and mentor a team of 4-8 accounting professionals, promoting professional growth and development.

Financial Planning & Analysis: Support the annual budgeting process, including preparation and consolidation of budget requests, analytics, and presentations for management review.

System Implementation: Assist in the deployment of new ERP systems and financial software tools to modernize and scale business operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA certification highly preferred.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the construction or engineering industries.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, with a solid understanding of percentage of completion accounting.

Exceptional attention to detail, with a rigorous and methodical approach to financial management.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all company functions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with Sage 300 CRE, IFS, or OneStream is a plus.
