Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based) - EST hours
Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 total compensation
We're seeking a strategic and detail-driven accounting leader to help drive accuracy, compliance, and financial clarity across our clients organization.
This is a pivotal role reporting to the VP of Finance with an immediate priority to clean up and optimize our NetSuite Chart of Accounts (COA) - laying the groundwork for scale, audit readiness, and cross-functional alignment.

Overview of the Controller role:
The Technical Accounting Manager lead the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
Own the cleanup, optimization, and long-term structure of the NetSuite Chart of Accounts.
Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions such as reinsurance agreements, investment instruments, and revenue recognition.
The Technical Accounting Manager will collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies, preparing necessary documentation and responses.
Support the implementation and documentation of SOX/internal controls over financial reporting.
Partner with actuarial, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure accounting policies align across departments.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, automation, and scalability.
Qualifications of the Controller:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master's preferred)
5+ years in public accounting or corporate accounting, ideally within warranty, insurance, or financial services
Strong experience with NetSuite, including COA design/cleanup and vendor integrations (e.g., Ramp, payment processors)
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting accounting
Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Advanced Excel proficiency
