Job Title: DevOps Architect (Kubernetes, GitOps, AWS, Infrastructure-as-Code)

Location: New York City, NY (Onsite)

Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Cloud Engineer with expertise in large-scale Kubernetes management, AWS cloud services, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with container orchestration, fault domain design, zero-trust security principles, and DevOps/GitOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Optimize Kubernetes Control Planes: Architect, manage, and operate control planes for large-scale Kubernetes environments.

Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to automate AWS cloud provisioning and management.

Security and Resiliency: Apply zero-trust security frameworks, fault isolation techniques, and SRE resiliency best practices.

Cloud Computing and Virtualization: Leverage virtualization, containerization, and microservices architectures to enhance system performance.

Multi-Cloud and Cross-Plane Integration: Utilize Cross-Plane to facilitate multi-cloud orchestration and management (preferred).

DevOps and GitOps Implementation: Automate deployments using GitOps methodologies and maintain CI/CD pipelines for system optimization.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Work independently and collaboratively to improve system reliability and scalability.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

Deep understanding of Kubernetes, with hands-on experience managing large-scale deployments.

Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation.

Expertise in virtualization, containerization, and microservices.

Knowledge of zero-trust security principles and fault domain design.

Experience implementing DevOps and GitOps methodologies.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Cross-Plane for multi-cloud orchestration.

Familiarity with cloud automation tools for scaling infrastructure efficiently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for high-performance cloud environments.
