Job Details
Responsibilities:
Perform structural calculations using engineering fundamentals and applicable building codes.
Utilize a range of engineering software tools to support computer-aided design and analysis.
Prepare and manage project documentation for client submissions and internal use.
Attend on-site meetings and conduct inspections during various stages of construction.
Draft formal written reports summarizing field observations and construction progress.
Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the design and construction process.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree will be a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
7-15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on multiple project types, including: multifamily, higher education facilities, healthcare institutions, hospitals, data centers / mission-critical structures, or commercial buildings
Expertise in the use of building materials such as concrete, steel, and timber
Proficiency in software tools including AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, and RAM
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
