Overview of the Help Desk Support Role:

The Help Desk Support Services team member plays a key role in maintaining the technology and A/V infrastructure across all departments within the organization. This individual provides exceptional customer service, works effectively in a collaborative team environment, and demonstrates strong initiative and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication abilities, along with a solid understanding of industry best practices and fundamental Help Desk Support skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to Help Desk Support requests and adapt to shifting priorities as needed.

Provide courteous, patient, and effective customer service to staff, faculty, and students.

Assist in researching and implementing innovative solutions to enhance technical support and productivity.

Perform routine analysis of computer systems and coordinate repairs, upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting as necessary.

Monitor and manage open Help Desk Support issues, escalating or delegating tasks appropriately.

Collaborate with team members to identify issue trends and propose process improvements.

Contribute to the completion of special projects as assigned.

Maintain accurate asset records using inventory and ticketing systems.

Install, configure, and maintain hardware and peripherals in line with standard procedures.

Set up and customize desktop software and services according to organizational best practices.

Qualifications for the Help Desk Support Role:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

2-3 years of experience in a Help Desk Support or technical support role.

Experience in an educational or service-oriented environment is a plus.

A+ and/or Network+ certification preferred.

Familiarity with device imaging technologies is highly desirable. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
