US Medical Staffing, Inc. is currently contracting Behavior Consultants- BC to work in collaboration with the family and other members of the treatment team, designs and directs the implementation of a Resiliency plan which is individualized to each child and family needs.
Behavior Consultant-BC requirements:
• Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a behavior specialist.
• Have a graduate degree in ABA from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc., or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.
• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.
Licensed BC: Individuals who provide behavior consultation services to children diagnosed with ASD for the treatment of ASD shall be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services.
• Maintain at least weekly contact with care givers, Mobile Therapists (MT), Behavioral Health Technician
• (BHT) and other team members to effectively monitor the implementation of the Resiliency plan
• Develop goals and objectives with the child and family that meet their individualized needs
• Facilitate Interagency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings
• Completion of all documentation including but not limited to:
• Functional Behavior Assessment including collection and interpretation of data
• Provide clinical supervision of assigned BHTs which include training BHT on Resiliency plan behavioral interventions and progress completion
• Ensure BHT has current Resiliency plan and progress note by monthly review/signing of BHT progress notes
• Attend monthly supervision and individual supervision meetings as needed
• Ensure compliance with the Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) principles, practice guidelines for Recovery and Resiliency, and principles of cultural competency
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned
