Position Overview

A private family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide weekend, live-in care for a 90-year-old woman in a wheelchair. The ideal candidate will have experience in elderly care, be patient, attentive, and capable of assisting with daily activities while ensuring comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.

Support day-to-day needs, including toileting and medication reminders.

Prepare light, nutritious meals as needed.

Maintain a tidy and organized living space, including light housekeeping tasks.

Offer companionship and engage in gentle activities to encourage mental and emotional well-being.

Monitor any changes in health or mobility and communicate concerns to the family.

Ensure a safe and comfortable overnight stay, providing assistance as needed during the night.

Qualifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

Previous experience caring for elderly individuals, particularly those with mobility challenges.

Experience with wheelchair transfers and mobility assistance preferred.

Kind, patient, and professional demeanor with a commitment to compassionate care.

Ability to cook light meals and assist with basic household tasks.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Valid Driver's License
