Now Hiring: Jet Engine Assembly Mechanics

Location: New England Area Onsite Assignment

Pay: $48/hr + $50/day Per Diem (W2)

Start Date: 05/25/2025

Duration: Approx. 3 Months

Schedule: 60 hours/week guaranteed (First & last week paid on actual hours worked)

Travel & Lodging: Round-trip airfare and single-occupancy lodging provided

Job Summary

CornerStone Staffing is partnering with a premier aerospace client to hire Jet Engine Assembly Mechanics for a dynamic new-build program in the New England area. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise in a high-tech, hands-on environment with full travel support and competitive compensation.

What You'll Be Doing

You will support mechanical assembly of new-build jet engines and may assist with rebuild/overhaul projects. This is a high-skill, non-repetitive role where every project is unique.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute sub-assembly and final assembly of jet engines using BOMs and tool lists

Work from paper-based and computer-based documentation

Use manual and powered hand tools, including pre-set torque wrenches

Operate hoists and pallet jacks to move engine components

Alternate between bench work and suspended assembly stations

Perform self-inspections and peer inspections using provided checklists

Follow all safety, quality, and ITAR compliance requirements

Tools & Work Environment

Manual and power-assisted hand tools

Torque wrenches (specs provided)

Hoists and pallet jacks

Climate-controlled indoor facility

Variety of tasks and workstations daily

Minimum Requirements

3+ years of mechanical assembly experience

Ability to read and follow BOMs, torque specs, and detailed instructions

Comfortable with standing/sitting for extended periods

Documentation required for ITAR compliance

Preferred Background

U.S. Military Veterans with powerplant maintenance experience

Valid A&P license holders

Diesel mechanics or those with heavy mechanical experience

Familiarity with aviation inspection/maintenance protocols
