Installation Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to install commercial and domestic washers and dryers in apartment complex laundry rooms/apartments in addition to college residence halls, laundry mats and On-Premise laundry facilities. The process will include refurbishing used equipment or uncrating brand new machines, preparing the machines, delivery and installation.

Doing so in a timely and professional manner is expected. Also, Jetz equipment should look appealing when finished installing; therefore, using hand tools to level machines, adjust doors, etc. is necessary. Plumbing tools are necessary as well, in order to connect water pipes to washing machines. When finished installing, it is essential to observe the complete cycle of the automatic washers and dryers and make proper adjustments to meet Jetz standards.

Core Responsibilities :

Perform all duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Refurbishing used laundry equipment

Loading and unloading laundry equipment from a box truck

Installing laundry equipment to meet specific standards

Accurately complete installation paperwork

Maintain and account for all keys, tools, equipment, and materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic mechanical, problem solving, and oral/written communication skills. A technician must have the discipline to work with little supervision and ability to handle several projects simultaneously. Computer experience including the use of e-mail, internet, ability to navigate a parts lookup software package and general ability to read diagrams . The individual must be able to lift machines, with a dolly, lift and carry up to 100lbs without the assistance of another person and be able to stand/sit for most of an eight-hour shift. Position requires occasional overnight travel, must be able to pass a drug test, have a good driving record and dependable transportation to and from work frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and driving. Must be able to pass DOT examine. Must have good driving record. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Balance new equipment after installation

Analyze installation and repair issues

Prepare for shipment or installation

Develop hardware/software installation schedules

Cancel or reschedule installation appointments

Perform installation in accordance with manufacturers recommended installation procedures and specifications

Perform installation support activities for equipment and systems products

Maintain and organize installation materials

Maintain installation vehicles and trailers

Maintain installation paperwork and fill out required documents as per installation standards

Ensuring that all equipment is working correctly after installation

Perform minor installation services and repairs

Perform installation/de-installation/upgrade/interface actions associated with network components at user locations

Work sites to perform installation, repair or maintenance work

Pull materials for each installation job

Jeopardize an installation with the priority to provide a solution that allows same-day installation

Provide post installation operations and maintenance support

Prepare site installation and test reports

Assist service tech team on bulk tank installation

Perform installation, maintenance and repairs of line manufacturing equipment
