We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tool Crib Attendant to join our thriving manufacturing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with proven experience in inventory management, shop supply, and tool setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and inventory control. If you have a passion for efficiency and a knack for maintaining organization, this could be the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the tool crib, ensuring that all tools and supplies are properly maintained, stored, and accounted for.
2. Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems to track tool usage and prevent loss or damage.
3. Conducting regular audits of tool crib inventory to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
4. Coordinating with the production team to ensure they have the necessary tools and supplies to meet production goals.
5. Assisting in the purchasing of new tools and supplies, ensuring the best quality and value.
6. Setting up tools and equipment for production, ensuring they are in good working order and ready to use.
7. Providing training and guidance to junior staff on proper tool usage and maintenance.
8. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a tool crib attendant, tool setter, or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
2. Proven experience with inventory management and shop supply.
3. Strong knowledge of different tools, their uses, and maintenance requirements.
4. Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and react to changes in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively relay information to team members at all levels.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
8. Basic computer skills, with experience using inventory management software.
