The Order Processor is responsible for ensuring order accuracy before transmitting orders to the warehouse for fulfillment. This person must work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service support.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Entering customer orders into company software and/or EDI systems
Communicating with customers via phone and email regarding their orders
Answering incoming customer inquiries
Following up on customer shipments and tracking orders
Answering phone calls, taking messages, and redirecting calls as needed
Obtaining truck quotes online or through brokers for LTL shipments
Preparing shipments for customer orders or warehouse transfers via UPS, FedEx, US Government Client, or LTL (including labeling, creating packing slips, and bills of lading)
Assisting other employees with administrative or clerical support Qualifications:
Computer literate
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a strong work ethic
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus
Knowledge of EDI is a plus
Relevant experience and/or transferable skills preferred
Permanent
