Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller:
Develop, implement, and enhance accounting policies and financial procedures.
Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with US GAAP.
Deliver strategic financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.
Collaborate closely with operations and supply chain to drive cost savings and efficiency.
Manage all aspects of cost accounting to ensure accurate product costing and margin reporting.
Monitor and optimize inventory valuation while working with plant teams to minimize waste.
Streamline the Chart of Accounts to support cleaner, more consistent financial reporting.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and execute change initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements across federal, state, and local levels.
Oversee annual audits, proactively addressing any control or compliance concerns.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to protect company assets.
Foster cross-functional alignment between finance and business objectives.
Lead with a hands-on approach-balancing big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.
Preferred Qualifications of the Corporate Controller
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role-preferably within manufacturing or retail.
Industry Knowledge: Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory control, and managing multi-location operations.
Systems Proficiency: Skilled in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, with advanced Excel capabilities.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and champion process enhancements.
