Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced CFO to lead our financial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both finance and management, with a proven track record in the Hospitality/CPG industry. The CFO will play a key role in the company's strategic planning and growth, providing financial insights and advice to our senior management team. This position will be responsible for managing all financial operations, including cash flow, forecasting, monthly reporting, revenue, and P&L.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.
8. You must have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
9. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
10. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
11. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
12. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
13. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
14. Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to start a business.
15. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
16. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
17. Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
18. Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience.
2. Five (5+) years in a position equivalent to a CFO or equivalent experience in the Hospitality/CPG industry.
3. CPA or MBA preferred.
4. Strong experience in ERP implementation and management.
5. Experience with fund accounting and financial analysis.
6. Proven experience developing KPI metrics and leading an entire financial department.
7. Strong knowledge of GAAP, debt and equity financing, and cash flow analysis.
8. Proficiency with ERP systems.
9. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
10. Strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills.
11. High proficiency in financial reporting including budgeting and forecasting.
12. Must be an excellent problem solver and independent decision maker.
13. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
