Location: San Bruno, CaliforniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $70 - 77 per hourOur client, a Fortune 500 retail company, is seeking a talented and organized Studio Manager to join their team!Direct, manage, and inspire a multi-shore, multi-disciplinary creative services organization to successfully deliver a range of digital assets for online channels for one of North America's largest retailers.The Studio Manager is critical to creating a foundation for success and growth.

The Manager will be responsible for directing the daily functions of the Studio team comprised of designers, copywriters, copy editors, and project managers.The Studio Manager will partner with North American stakeholders - both clients and Cella subject matter experts to establish collaboration models, workflows, and QA processes.This role is not a Creative Director position . The Studio Manager role is rooted in operations management, people management and quality assurance.

The Studio Manager must be familiar with in-house creative team processes and requirements and have experience partnering with global clients.Responsibilities:Operations management and quality assurance (50%)Direct the daily functions of Creative Production Studio, ensuring high performance through the implementation of operational, staffing, organizational, and professional development best practices.Drive a culture of excellence that values talent, collaboration, autonomy, and accountability where every contributor strives to consistently meet and exceed the quality and service expectations of Cella leadership and client-partners.Offer strategic business guidance and share insights on best practices, aligning recommendations with leadership priorities and fostering executive buy-in.Ensure the team complies with all client branding, operational, legal and regulatory mandates, policies and guidelines.Proactively identify and act on opportunities for operational improvements.Collaborate with Director in the assessment, design and implementation of processes, policies, procedures, hardware and software needed to meet client expectations and keep department on the leading edge of design and content production.Adapt organizational and operational infrastructure to changing business needs.Standardize and document operational practices, policies, procedures and guidelines.Capture, analyze, and report Studio metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.Collaborate with Director on financial reporting for the team.Staffing (30%)Ensure that employees are onboarded and receive the tools and training needed to become productive quickly.Develop, coach and mentor direct reports through formal and informal feedback.Identify and align key resources to execute on the business needs while adhering to clearly defined utilization metrics & expectations.Implement team building and retention programs to reduce employee attrition and attract new talent.Stakeholder Partnership (20%)Participate in regularly scheduled client meetings and training sessions with the Team.Serve as the initial point of escalation for any project-related concerns.Organize and lead monthly Studio Operations meetings with a focus on aligning on processes, expectations, and deliverables to ensure efficient collaboration and successful project outcomesContribute to Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews by providing operational insights, recommendations, and updates on account health.Qualifications:Ability to apply strategic thinking to all business challenges and opportunities.Excellent project and organizational management skills, highly organized and ability to multitask effectively.In-depth understanding of and ability to execute on metrics and data-driven best practices.Excellent people management skills-ability to coach, mentor and develop staff.Experience with Figma & Adobe Workfront (project management system) or like tools preferred.Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (digital asset management tool) or like tool a plus.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Education/Experience Requirements:BA in related field of study from an accredited college or equivalent experience.Minimum of 10 years of creative and/or marketing services experience.Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably within a multi-shore delivery model.Large team (20+ direct and indirect reports) management experience preferred.
