Job Profile SummaryUnder general supervision, this position is vital in supporting talent management processes, including onboarding, Form I-9 compliance, and employee engagement. Reporting to the Talent Management Manager, this role supports the Human Resources Talent and Culture Department in managing employee engagement initiatives and special projects. The specialist will maintain current processes while helping to enhance talent management services, contributing to employee career progression and engagement.

This position allows eligible Veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree required

An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Minimum Experience/Training:

Four years of related experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint preferred

Experience with graphic design platforms like Canva, Adobe Creative or Photoshop preferred

Essential Functions:

Daily - 20%: Support onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth organizational transition.

Daily - 15%: Ensure compliance with Form I-9 requirements, maintaining accurate records and facilitating the verification process. Stays current with Form I-9 legal compliance regulations.

Daily - 10%: Executes assigned responsibilities and projects accurately, efficiently and timely; delivers exemplary customer service when communicating/ corresponding with administration, management, faculty, staff, and external customers.

Monthly - 15%: Lead the design of the monthly employee recognition newsletter and assists with special projects related to talent management, demonstrating creativity and innovation in program design and implementation.

Other - 15%: Provide professional support to the Human Resources, Talent and Culture Department in managing, the annual employee recognition program, employee engagement initiatives and special projects.

Other - 10%: Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the College to ensure alignment of talent management initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.

Other - 5%: Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in talent management, incorporating new ideas and approaches into college programs and processes.

Other - 5%: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.

Fully proficient in professional and functional standards and protocols of position

General understanding of College's structure, policies and practices, and the impact on own area

Ability to contribute to multiple related areas within the function

Expertise in understanding and following project plans, including the coordination of multiple resources and activities

Understanding of and ability to coordinate interdependencies of work within the area and of resources from outside the area

The ability to exchange information with individuals and collaborate and colleagues within the College as well as presentation skills

Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments i.e., Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems spec

Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee, student population
