As an Engineering Technician on our team, your skills in installing and maintaining complex electronics systems will be crucial to providing solutions to meet your customer’s needs. You will gain experience in operational meteorology and air traffic control systems while supporting the safe conduct of flight operations on the Antarctic continent. You will be a valued member of a small team of highly skilled engineers and technicians where your contributions will be critical to the team’s success. You will gain valuable experience integrating and fielding meteorological and communications systems in harsh, remote environments.

You Have:

12+ years of experience in electronic equipment installation

6+ years of experience in ATC system design or installation discipline

2+ years of experience with the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings

Knowledge of radar systems, communications systems, networking equipment, and SATCOM

Ability to travel to Antarctica for up to 4 weeks annually

Ability to pass an Antarctic deployment physical exam

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology

Nice If You Have:

Experience using shipboard URN-33 TACAN systems, Ubiquiti network equipment, Rhode-Shwartz or Frequentis communications systems, satellite communications equipment, weather radar equipment, or HF/VHF/UHF radio communication systems

Experience with military training

Experience in Aviation Ground Electronics Systems, Airfield Systems, or RF Systems

Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
