**Job Description**
As a Forklift Operator, you will primarily operate a sit-down forklift throughout the day. Occasionally, you will assist with other tasks as required. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maneuver forklifts to safely move freight.
+ Scan products and follow task instructions.
+ Report and resolve concerns with assistance from a lead or supervisor.
+ Unload or load materials into or out of equipment and lanes.
+ Perform job duties of a Material Handler for production flow as directed by a supervisor.
+ Work with and transport various parts.
+ Read paperwork and ensure correct containers are being shipped.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ months of forklift experience
+ Ability to move and bend for 8 - 10 hour shifts
+ Ability to lift 50lbs
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with RF scan guns and pallet jacks
+ General labor and warehouse skills

**Work Environment**
The position operates on the 1st Shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime typically involves 10-hour days and may include some Saturdays, depending on workload. Busy seasons, primarily in the winter months through early summer, may require 6-day workweeks with 10-hour days. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and reflective safety vests. The dress code allows for shorts, jeans, and t-shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
