**Job Title: Forklift Operator**

**Job Description**

+ Join a family-owned metal recycling company dedicated to sustainable practices.

+ As a forklift operator, you will work both indoors and outdoors, utilizing enclosed and heated equipment cabs. Your role involves unloading and organizing materials brought in by customers and preparing them for transport using various equipment.

+ 1st shift positions available!

**Responsibilities**

+ Unload trucks as they arrive at the facility.

+ Assist customers in directing their materials to the appropriate drop-off locations.

+ Move materials from drop-off locations to designated shelving using a forklift.

+ Operate a compactor to prepare materials for transport.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in forklift operation.

+ Experience in material handling, unloading, and loading.

+ At least 1 year of experience in forklift or equipment operation.

+ Strong communication skills for customer interaction in the yard.

+ Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually and team lift up to 50 pounds.

**Work Environment**

+ Core hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility between 5 AM and 5 PM.

+ Optional overtime is available, and the company is accommodating to personal schedule needs with proper communication.

**Pay**

+ This is a Permanent position with starting pay $21-24/hour+ based off of interview and previous work experience.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $46000.00/yr.
