Description:

Red Oak is the industry’s first and only compliance connectivity platform purpose-built for the financial services industry. We specialize in advertising review, registration and licensing management, employee supervision, and content distribution; helping Wealth Managers, Asset Managers, Broker-Dealers and Banks reduce risk, drive efficiency, and stay ahead of regulatory demands.

Founded in 2010 by compliance and technology veterans, our mission is simple: to reduce regulatory risk, make the complex simple, and deliver best-in-class support to our clients. Today, more than 2,300 firms trust Red Oak to help them navigate compliance with confidence.

Objectives of the Role:

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Red Oak, you’ll play a key role in supporting our sales team by translating client needs into tailored, scalable solutions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, helping them understand how Red Oak’s platform can solve their compliance challenges and improve operational efficiency.

This is a client-facing, consultative role that blends product knowledge, industry insight, and communication skills. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition from discovery to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Sales to lead discovery calls and solution presentations for prospective clients.

Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with clients to understand their business objectives, regulatory obligations, and technical environments, translating these into tailored SaaS solution designs.

Act as the primary technical advisor, ensuring that proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with Red Oak’s platform capabilities.

Serve as a subject matter expert on Red Oak’s products and how they address compliance challenges in financial services.

Ensure all client solutions adhere to industry-specific compliance standards such as SEC, FINRA, and 17a-4, while also meeting internal security and data governance requirements.

Provide strategic guidance to clients on best practices for leveraging Red Oak’s platform to optimize compliance workflows and reduce operational risk.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services regulations, SaaS architecture trends, and emerging technologies to inform solution strategy and client advisement.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution blueprints, integration guides, and architecture diagrams, to support internal teams and client stakeholders.

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5+ years in a client-facing solutions or pre-sales engineer role within a Saas or financial services environment.

Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with financial services workflows, regulatory requirements, or financial services operations.

Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for diverse stakeholders.

Technical Aptitude: Understanding of SaaS platforms, APIs, and cloud-based tools is helpful but not required to be hands-on.

Work Structure:

While we prefer candidates located near our Austin HQ, we are open to remote arrangements for highly qualified individuals.
