ASM/Service Writer – Automotive Dealership

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused ASM (Assistant Service Manager)/Service Writer to join our service team. This role bridges the gap between customers and the service department, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient workflow management.Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and concerns regarding vehicle service.

Schedule service appointments and maintain an organized workflow for the service department.

Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle issues, and required services in repair orders.

Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely service completion.

Provide detailed estimates of service costs and obtain customer authorization for repairs.

Keep customers updated on service progress, any additional recommended repairs, and timeline changes.

Review completed work orders and explain services performed to customers at the time of vehicle pickup.

Promote and upsell recommended maintenance services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional service area.Requirements

Previous experience as a Service Writer, ASM, or similar role in an automotive service environment.

Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.

Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical details in a clear manner.

Proficiency in dealership management systems and service scheduling software.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
