Job Title: Manufacturing Facilities Manager

Overview:
A leading manufacturer in York, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Facilities Manager to oversee facility operations, maintenance programs, and safety compliance in a fast-paced production environment. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced, hands-on leader who can ensure smooth plant operations while maintaining full compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in industrial facilities management, a proactive approach to safety and maintenance, and a proven ability to manage teams and projects in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Maintenance Management
Oversee maintenance and repair of buildings, production equipment, utilities, and infrastructure
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs for machinery, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Manage external contractors and vendors for facility repairs and upgrades
Maintain accurate service records, logs, and maintenance documentation
Safety & Compliance (OSHA Focus)
Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, building codes, and environmental regulations
Lead safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and training initiatives
Maintain and continuously improve workplace safety programs and procedures
Act as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections and compliance matters
Project & Budget Management
Plan and manage capital improvement projects, including equipment installations and facility upgrades
Collaborate with internal departments to minimize operational disruption during projects
Develop and manage budgets related to maintenance operations and capital expenditures
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility and maintenance management within a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental compliance
Experience leading a maintenance team and using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
Skilled in industrial mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and equipment systems
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
Working Conditions:
Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for urgent projects or repairs
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
